R&B/Pop singer Rihanna, who is preparing for the release of her fifth studio album ‘Loud,’ recently crafted a holiday song to celebrate this year's holiday season. Titled "A Child Is Born," the song will be released on the upcoming "NOW Christmas
Vol. 4" project.
The double-disc compilation set will drop October 12. Other tracks on the album include Lady GaGa's "Christmas Tree," Britney Spears' "My Only Wish (This Year)" and MariahCarey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You."
In other news, Rihanna’s "Only Girl (In the World)," leaped from 75-3 on the Billboard Hot 100 while debuting at No. 1 on Digital Songs with 249,000 first-week downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"Only Girl" is Rihanna's eighth No. 1 on Digital Songs and her sixth to debut at the top, the most in each category by any artist since the chart launched in 2005.
