Jennifer Lopez Ready to Take TV by Storm:

Come January 2011, Jennifer Lopez will officially be annexed by the Fox TV family. Nuyorican Productions, her film company with such projects as “Taming Ben Taylor,” “Nannyland” and “Amigas Sweet 15 Club,” has penned a first-look agreement with Fox Films.

The success and benefits don’t end there. J.Lo recently signed a $12 million deal to be a judge on American Idol during its 10th season. The show has proven to make and break careers of judges and artist alike so Lopez’s addition is an interesting advance in Fox’s attempt to attract new viewership.

Lopez, who started her career as a dancer on the Fox show “In Living Color” will be going back with authority. With such hits as “If You Had My Love,” and “Waiting For Tonight,” J.Lo should fit right in at the American Idol table, although some critics think she lacks the genuine ear for music some of her predecessors possess, she nevertheless has managed to be nominated for "Best Dance Recording" category in 2001 Grammy Awards and have hits in the Billboard Hot 100.

Lopez is also working on film projects, “The Governess” and a remake of “Overboard,” with CBS Films and Sony, respectively.
