Rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested and taken into police custody in LA last night, after authorities pulled them over and smelled weed in the vehicle. The couple were riding on Sunset Blvd in T.I.’sMaybach after 10PM when pulled over for a traffic violation, where cops smelled marijuana. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, cops said they found a “controlled substance.“Tiny” was taken to a separate squad car — both were transported to a local Sheriff’s station and booked on felony possession of a controlled substance. Not cool T.I., none of that ish should even be around you after getting off easy on your last bid.

They were released from jail at about 4 a.m. Thursday after posting $10,000 bail each, sheriff's Deputy Luis Castro said. The arrest could spell significant legal trouble for the Atlanta-based rapper and multiplatinum hitmaker who has become one of music's most profitable stars. He is on probation for the weapons charges, and could get sent back to prison because of the arrest.
