Confirming that she was indeed pulled over and arrested by LAPD at a DUI check point, R&B singer Faith Evans took to Twitter
to update her fans on the incident.
“Hi Faithfuls…I am on the set of my new video for my single “Gone Already,”” she writes Sunday Night. “I’m sure by now most of you heard that I was detained on suspicion of a DUI. After completing a full day of wardrobe prep I was stopped at a random checkpoint. I’m fine and well, and thank you for your prayers, kind words and concerns. I can’t wait for you all to see my new video & look forward to hearing from you guys…Fizzy.” Evans was arrested and booked at a DUI checkpoint near the Marina Del Rey section of L.A. on late Saturday night after officers detected alcohol.
Her highly anticipated new album, 'Something About Faith,' will be released October 5, 2000 via Entertainment One (Koch).
Regarding the album, Faith says, “I’m really proud of it. It’s been a lot of work – especially being on an indie label. I was able to lean on whatever that something is that people like about me or respect about me or makes them want to work with me or be a part of my project. I’m very appreciative and I know that I’m blessed to be able to still be relevant.”
What you guys think about the arrest? Publicity stunt or coincidence?
