N-Dubz, JLS and Professor Green to play at 2010 MOBO Awards:

 

The UK's finest N-Dubz, JLS, Professor Green and 2010 MOBO Awards co-host Alesha Dixon are the first of many to be announced to perform exclusively at this year's MOBO Awards.

In a year where British 'MOBO Music' talent has dominated the UK charts, these homegrown heroes will prove just why they're leading the pack by taking to the stage for their performances at the 2010 MOBO Awards in association with Lebara Mobile held at the Liverpool's Echo Arena on October 20th 2010.

Previous MOBO Award winners N-Dubz will be doing what they do best, planning a truly explosive performance in at this year's Awards. Having won the prestigious Best Newcomer Award back in 2007, Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer have never looked back with their meteoric rise being unstoppable.

At last year's Awards in Glasgow, the Camden trio proceeded to tear the arena down with a show-stopping medley of hits, not to mention also snapping up 2009's Best UK Act and Best Album Awards. This year sees N-Dubz up for the Best Song in association with PRSforMusic, Best Album for their top 5 second album Against All Odds and also Best UK Act.

The UK's leading boyband and last year's Best Newcomer winners JLS, whipped the crowd into a frenzy with their electrifying MOBO debut performance at last year's show, and are sure to set the stage alight again at this year's awards. The boys also took home 2009's Best Song award for their number 1 smash hit Beat Again and following an astonishing year, the teenage heartthrobs compete for Best UK Act in association with Lebara mobile and Best Album for their debut album JLS.

First time MOBO Award nominee Professor Green has plenty of tricks up his sleeve when he brings his unique, cheeky style to the MOBO stage. Following a year which cemented his mark on the UK charts with 2 top 5 singles and a top 3 album, the former MC battling champ has featured heavily in this year's nominations, battling it out for Best Newcomer , Best UK Hip Hop/Grime and Best Song Need You Tonight ft Ed Drewitt.

Multi-talented Alesha Dixon will be juggling her co-hosting duties with Reggie Yates on the night, delivering one of her notoriously high-charged performances. The UK songstress and former triple MOBO nominee is up for Best Video for her infectious current hit Drummer Boy. The former Mis-Teeq star previously performed with her fellow girl-band members at 2003's MOBO Awards, also winning Best Garage Act that same year.

Celebrating its 15th year, the MOBO Awards has helped champion the extraordinary rise of urban music over the past two decades from niche, to now leading the UK charts. This year's awards will feature some truly unique performances and collaborations from some of the best talent around at its star-studded ceremony in Liverpool.

The public will now have their chance to vote for their favourites via www.mobo.com with the winners to be announced on 20th October during the televised Awards Show live from Liverpool's Echo Arena.
