Christina Aguilera's Wants New Judge In Divorce Case:

The fireworks has started in the divorce case between Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman. According to reports, Aguilera’s lawyer has filed a motion to disqualify the assigned judge from hearing the case.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Elia Weinbach was assigned to the case. According to TMZ, Aguilera's lawyer Laura Wasser has filed legal documents disqualifying Weinbach from hearing the proceedings.

No further details regarding the motion has been released.

Aguilera announced her separation/divorce from Bratman earlier this month. The couple was married for five years and had one child.

“It’s not easy and there have been a lot of tears and sadness,” Aguilera recently told Redbook mag. “It’s impossible to redefine yourself and your life overnight. Thankfully, I have my mom and a small group of close friends who are there for me 24/7 and whom I can trust and depend on. On days when it feels impossible to even get out of bed, much less function as a mother, their support and encouragement have kept me moving forward.”

As far as the specifics on the separation, Aguilera says, “Out of respect for my husband, I prefer to keep the specifics private.”
